Mümtaz, wounded and fleeing battle, gets discharged. Akif vows to uncover the source of toxic ideology poisoning the Ottoman army.

Mümtaz launches a campaign to defame Akif while an article on Sabeel Al-Rashad magazine saves a village near Bulgaria.

Akif wants to find out Haluk's real intentions but he is outsmarted. Bedia believes her brother and leaves with her sister Süheyla.

Ismet returns home to stand by Akif in the face of slander while Mümtaz meets the poets, friends of Akif's, only to be disappointed.

Supported by the Englishman, Haluk puts the association in an awkward position while Mümtaz apologizes for what he did to Akif as the youth turn against him at the instigation of his friend.

Mümtaz learns the truth about himself and agrees to return home at Frew's insistence. Appointed as the head of the writing committee established in the National Defense Society, Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem Bey, asks Akif to write a national epic.

The Armistice of Mondros is signed. Akif believes that the real war has just begun and advises those around him to act with caution.

Mümtaz fights with a limp foot in the Great Offensive, then settles in Ankara. Akif is welcomed by Mustafa Kemal and completes the National Anthem.
