The Underlings

Halil, whose education in Europe was interrupted by the war, dreams of returning to his life abroad, while his father plans for his son to succeed him as a village leader. However, both of their plans will be cut short by a sinister plot hatched behind their backs.

The underlings survive their time in exile, but Ziya falls ill and is admitted to the infirmary. The increasing number of incidents passed off as accidents makes the new doctor, Meryem, suspicious. Despite all the obstacles, Halil tries to find a way for his letters to reach their destination.

Rüstem pays a visit to Halil. While he tells Halil, who is surprised by this visit, that he saw him in his dream, he tells a completely different story to Vural, the prison warden. As Meryem continues to be suspicious of all that goes on in the prison, Halil learns that the information he is desperately looking for is in a notebook within the prison boundaries.

Halil devises a dangerous plan to seize the notebook. The underlings make a request to get the carpentry shop back up and running. Suspicious of Ünal's behavior during the crisis, Meryem discovers a secret about him.

Meryem makes a discovery during her visit to Varol's house. While the underlings do their best to keep Feshaneli away from the carpentry shop and their discovery, a bad move will have dire consequences.

Unable to refuse the offer to get out of prison for a day, Halil accepts Vural's offer, and attends a dinner party at his house to act as a translator for his wife's doctor. With the appearance of Meryem at the door, Vural, who is keeping various secrets, goes through a stressful evening.

Big Rıza is sentenced to death. Vural makes a plan to take Koca Rıza to the detention center without any trouble, fearing that he might make a scene upon learning about his death sentence. Halil, who believes Vural's words, becomes a part of the plan.

The underlings are angry at Halil for handing over Koca Rıza with his own hands. Halil, tricked by Vural, once again realizes that he is dealing with a dangerous man. Meryem, who informs Halil about an upcoming danger she overheard, is unaware of the risk she has put herself in.

New inmate called Kudret the Kütahya Monster is transferred to the prison and has been assigned to attack Halil by Vural, who is sworn to avenge his failure during the rebellion, and Halil's uncle who still wants to get rid of Halil.

The exiles find themselves in a difficult spot when the passage under the carpenter's shop is discovered. At a point where Halil is at the point of giving up, Durul talks to him and reveals secrets that he has been keeping silent. Meryem stops by the infirmary to take inventory.
