Sinopsis:
Based on the novel "Envy" (Kıskanmak) by Turkish writer Nahid Sırrı Örik, the story follows Halit, who has recently moved to the northwestern Turkish city of Zonguldak for work in the 1930s, and his wife Mükerrem. Their relationship begins to unravel when they enter society, where a subtle connection forms between Mükerrem and the son of one of the wealthiest families in the city. Meanwhile, Mükerrem's aunt, consumed by envy of her niece's beauty, drives her fate down a tragic path.
