Falling into the trap set by the Lord of the Mountain, Saladin is captured by Nusreddin near the lifeless body of Izzeddin. Nureddin, on the other hand, makes a decision that will shock the entire palace, especially Melike.

After discovering that he had been misled about his true family, Saladin decides to pursue the Jerusalem cause on his own. Meanwhile, Nusreddin raises a flag of rebellion and cooperates with Gregor and Viktorya.

Nureddin postpones the conquest of Ascalon upon learning that Saladin's headquarters was raided. As the shouts of victory of the Crusaders rise, cries of mourning erupt across the town.

Saladin, who miraculously emerges safe and sound, has only one thought in his mind: to rescue Süreyya who is being held captive in Ascalon. The Lord of the Mountain rescues Gabriel from the jaws of death.

By order of Nureddin, the administration of the recently conquered Ascalan is handed over to Saladin and Süreyya. Meanwhile, Avram, a wealthy Jewish man gives Muslims in Gaza a hard time.

Saladin gets caught on his way to Gaza. Although Gregor and Viktorya want to kill him, Avram is determined to keep him alive until he gets answers. Meanwhile, Ayyubids have no choice but to resist the threats of Mevdud and Karategin.

Mevdud proposes a peace treaty to Gregor, with Nureddin's blessing, but Saladin intervenes at the last minute. Moreover, Saladin discovers some vital information about Avram that he has kept from even his allies.

Saladin, who captured the Ark of the Holy Covenant, declines to surrender it even though Avram blockaded the camp. The ark is then received by Mevdud, who acts as Nureddin's deputy in his absence.

Saladin, whose camp is under occupation, becomes a fugitive. In order to save his homeland, he embarks on a journey full of traps and ambushes after Karategin kidnaps the chest which is the only way for freedom.

Mevdud, unable to accept Saladin's natural rise to power, appoints Karategin as the head of his tribe. Nureddin is captured on his way back to Damascus.

Mevdud goes in search of Sultan Nureddin, who is wounded and has fallen into the river, but Saladin finds him before he does.

Ömer Mela comes to the rescue of Saladin and Sultan Nureddin from the Crusaders while Viktorya suffers another defeat.

As Nureddin and Saladin take action to save Damascus, they receive the news that it has fallen. Holding Nureddin and Saladin responsible for what happened, Turanşah takes matters into his own hands.

Sultan Nureddin resists Bernard and the Crusaders and is saved by Karategin and his men who arrive at the last moment. Saladin, who knows Damascus inside out, thinks of a new battle strategy.

When Saladin refuses to leave Karategin at the mercy of Dolat, the tension between Dolat and Nureddin reaches its peak. Bernard, who wants to turn this situation into an opportunity, carries out a terrible plan.

Having captured Saladin, Dolat says that Saladin's life will be spared if the Zengis swear allegiance. Bernard wants Saladin to be executed as soon as possible to prevent his murder from being exposed.

Realizing that Bernard is the murderer of ltutmuş, Dolat directs all his anger towards him. But when Victoria gives him Gaza, Dolat and Saladin are once again positioned on opposite fronts.

Having escaped the death penalty, Bernard prevents the treaty that Victoria is about to make. Meanwhile, Arslanşah arrives in Zengi territory to subjugate Sultan Nureddin and his beys.

Bernard demands Gaza in exchange for the captives he had, but Nureddin is not in favor of this idea. Arslanşah, who wants the captives to be freed as soon as possible, takes action to lay siege to Gaza.

Despite Saladin's rescue of the beys captured by the Crusaders, Arslanshah seizes on the success. Meanwhile, thinking that Karategin is not dead, Saladin goes in search of him, and so does Bernard.

Saladin and Ömer Mella join forces and take Karategin from Maral. As the identity of who made an attempt on Karategin's life remained unsolved, the two men agree to unite with neither Arslanşah nor Nureddin.
